There was a discussion on them recently... for anyone interested, there was some major price cuts today.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Take that, Kobo. As e-reader competition heats up, Barnes & Noble responded Monday by cutting the price of its flagship Nook to $199 and introducing a low-cost, Wi-Fi-only version for $149.

Just hours later, Amazon (AMZN, Fortune 500) hit back. It slashed the price of its popular Kindle to $189 -- a deep discount from the original $259.

Was mostly because the Kobo came out and I guess it's a budget e-reader for $150... kinda ruins thier plan when the higher-end units drop to that price. ><

The next generation of Kindle is going to be release on August 27.

That will be very tempting. I can't justify the price of an iPad and I hate reading things on the iPhone or anything that size... $50 off to lose 3G connectivity is nice.

This $139 Wi-Fi only is quite interesting... Also, I really liked the new dark Kindle, I am tempted to buy one.
